BEFORE…
DECOR IDEAS #1. CHANGE UP YOUR PILLOWS
One of my favorite decor ideas is changing the throw pillows. It is a simple and inexpensive way to add a touch of color and style to your space. You can save a little more if you reuse your existing inserts and buy new covers.
DECOR IDEAS #2. RESTYLE YOUR BOOKSHELF
Take a moment to get rid of the clutter and rearrange your surfaces. That is an essential detail for open shelving because it can start to feel a bit boring (not to mention dusty) after showing the same old photo frames for a long time.
Try to incorporate small decorative objects or sculptures and pieces of art. You can reuse exciting items that you have around the house or pick up new ones from flea markets or your favorite little boutique. Not sure where to start? You can see more cool ideas here.
DECOR IDEAS #3. ADD SOME GREENERY
Much of the crafting and curation of the space we live in depends on the amount of the outdoors that we can bring in with us. As a matter of fact, this is what makes a space feel comfortable and pleasing to us visually and physically.
You can buy small cacti and succulents at hardware stores or nurseries. If you like bigger statements, add a tall houseplant to the mix and some hanging plants as well!
DECOR IDEAS #4. NEW PAINT COLOR
Sometimes the best way to make our space feel fresh is a good coat of paint! Grab a gallon of paint and create some drama through the wall color. Paint just one accent wall or pick all four if you want to take this idea to the next level.
DECOR IDEAS #5. REARRANGE YOUR LAYOUT
However, if you’re saving all your pennies for your next trip, you can still make your space feel new again by rearranging your furniture.
Creating a new layout would optimize the flow in the room, which will change the way that you think about it!
